The Noordzeestraat in Deventer (in the middle of Holland) is the main entrance of the harbour district. Here you will find the Lucy GLXY nestling on top of the roof of the former machine construction factory Eysink (now the studio of the SpaceCowboys). The outlines of the GLXY refer to Navy ships and the long past Space age of the ’60′s. The glossy, padded skin, made of artificial fabric conceals a luxury residence unit. It’s a spacious venue which is suitable for one-night, but also for longer stays. It has its own entrance at the corner of the building, through which you will enter the heart of the Lucy GLXY, your room for the night. In the GLXY you will find a pantry and a unit combining shower, toilet and washing bowl.
The bedroom, with a royal Auping bed facing the east, offers a great view on the harbor and has special view on the rooftop gallery. On the bed is a special Lucy designed bed spread made by artist Annemiek Pruijt. On the western side of the residence, there is a small lounging area from which you can see the sun setting above the magnificent IJssel landscape and standing on the balcony is the place where you are commander of your own Space odity.
And there’s just one more thing to mention about this particular Lucy ,the rear view includes your own private rooftop gallery , with a selection of great sculptures .
As an extra we will throw in our special Space Kitchen, it is free to use as diningroom, or a place to cook up up your own dinner, lunch or snacks. You’r welcome to enjoy your breakfast there, may be in the company of other Lucy guests, or may be not.
